Repair vs. Replace
Repair makes sense when the panel is under about ten years old, still supported by its manufacturer, and the problem is a single failed part: a sensor, a battery, a camera, a power supply. Most of our service calls fall here and are done in one visit.
Replace or take over when the panel uses a retired 3G or landline communicator (monitoring can’t work), when the manufacturer no longer makes parts, when several sensors fail at once, or when you want features the old system can’t do: app control, video verification, smart locks. A takeover keeps your wiring and compatible sensors, so it costs far less than a from-scratch install.

Diagnostic visits run $89–$149 and are credited toward the repair if we fix it the same day. Sensor replacements are $40–$120, panel replacements $250–$600, and communicator upgrades $150–$300.
Most often a low panel or sensor battery, a lost communication path (common after a 3G or phone-line shutoff), or a sensor reporting trouble. Silence it from the keypad, note the message, and call us; many beeps are fixed in one visit.
Usually. Offline cameras are commonly caused by failed power supplies, damaged cable, a full or failed recorder hard drive, or a router change. We diagnose on site and repair or replace what is needed.
In most cases, yes. We reuse your existing wiring and compatible sensors, install a Qolsys IQ4 panel and move monitoring to our center, typically for much less than a new system.
Service calls in Gwinnett and eastern DeKalb are often same- or next-day from our Snellville office; the rest of Metro Atlanta is usually within two to three business days. Active monitoring customers get priority.
Yes. Annual inspection and testing plans cover battery replacement, sensor testing, camera cleaning and firmware updates, with discounted repair rates in between.
Yes. Adding an LTE communicator or moving to an IQ4 panel gives you the Alarm.com app for arming, alerts, camera viewing and smart home control, while keeping most of your existing sensors.
